Terms and conditions

1. Students must arrive on site 15 minutes before the start time of their training. For example: an 8:00am start requires students to arrive by 7:45 am. Training/course starts promptly unless otherwise advised. Legally it is compulsory to complete all elements of the CBT course to receive a CBT certificate. If you are late and miss any of the elements you are unable to complete the CBT. Failure to arrive on time will result in the loss of the training or test booked for the day and no refunds will be made.
2. If you have failed to arrive on time for your CBT, you will be able to book another CBT at our returner’s rate. For a weekend slot that will be £89 and for a weekday slot that will be £79. There is no discretion for London Bike Training Staff to change this so please do not try.
3. DAS Students must arrive on site 15 minutes before the start time of their training. For example: an 8:00am start requires students to arrive by 7:45 am. The training/course starts promptly unless otherwise advised. it is compulsory to complete all training before your modules of the DAS course. If you are late and miss any of the training you are unable to take the practical test. Failure to arrive on time will result in the loss of the training or test booked for the day and no refunds will be made.
4. If you have arrived late, failed, and need to book a re-take module test, you will be able to book another DAS course module test at our returner’s rate. For a Module 1 the cost will be £185 for Module 2 £245. There is no discretion for London Bike Training Staff to change this so please do not try.
5. If you must cancel a booked and paid for CBT/Course, refunds will not be made unless 7 days notice is given. When less than 7 days’ notice is given, refunds will only be authorised if the training slot can be resold. All cancellations will be subject to a £15 administration charge to process the refund. All cancellations must be made in writing/email.
6.Due to the nature of the DAS Course and requirement to book in a DVLA test centre, if you must cancel a booked and paid for DAS Course, refunds will not be made unless 15 days’ notice is given. All cancellations will be subject to a 10% administration charge to process the refund. All cancellations must be made in writing/email. When less than 15 days’ notice is given, this will result in the termination of your training/course/test and no refunds shall be made.
7. London Bike Training is responsible for your safety and the safety of other students. Any and all requests made by the instructors must be complied with. Failure to do this will result in the termination of your training/course and no refunds shall be made.
8. London Bike Training’s staff deserves to work in a safe and friendly environment. Any student acting in an offensive or insulting manner to other customers, staff or visitors will have their course / training terminated. No refund shall be permitted.
9. London Bike Training is responsible for your safety; therefore clothing standards during training must be adhered to: strong shoes/boots, ideally offering ankle protection; jeans or strong trousers. If you are unsure by this provision, it is the responsibility of the student to contact London Bike Training to seek further guidance. London Bike Training will provide the use of a safety helmet, motorcycle jacket and gloves for free. Inappropriate clothing would be classed as sandals, shorts, t-shirts etc. If your instructor classifies your clothing unsuitable then London Bike Training may terminate your course / training and no refund will be made.
10. A. Eyesight, if glasses or contact lenses are normally worn by the student, they must be worn for the course/training. (you will need to read a registration plate at a minimum distance of 66 feet/20 metres)
B. Overall fitness, It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they are fit and healthy enough to ride a vehicle. If you have a known medical condition (including pregnancy) that may affect your ability to control a vehicle on the road, the student must seek qualified medical advice and provide evidence to London Bike Training before they will be allowed to partake in training. Our cancellation conditions still apply if you are unable to partake in your training due to your failure to comply with this provision.
C. Balance, to be able to ride a motorbike/moped safely, the student needs to be able to demonstrate proper balance. The student should be able to ride a bicycle, moped, motorcycle within the last 3 years before they can commence training. If poor balance is demonstrated then the course or training will be terminated for the student’s safety and the course fees will be lost.
D. Any other impairment, It is the responsibility of the student to inform London Bike Training of any other physical or mental impairment which may affect you. It is the responsibility of the Student to do this at time of booking otherwise the course may be cancelled and payment could be lost in line with the terms of our cancellation policy. Failure to inform London Bike training could result in your insurance being invalid and the student being personally liable for anything that may happen.
11. London Bike Training will provide students without their own helmet with one of the schools. Students must use the helmets appropriately. Any damage caused (including and not limited to dropping the helmet, or any form of misuse) to the schools helmet will result in a penalty fee of £50. Prompt payment will be required and failure to do this will involve the termination of the course, and no refund will be made.
12. Students will be provided with radios, motorcycle ignition keys and other equipment to be used during training which they will be responsible for. Loss or damage to the above items will incur the cost of replacement or £20 charge per item, whichever is higher. If payment is not made then your course/training will be terminated, and no refunds will be given.
13. Students will be supplied with one of London Bike Trainings motorcycle/moped. Students are expected to take care of the motorcycle/moped if damage occurs due to negligence or fault of the student (e.g. dropping or crashing), they will be expected to pay for the full repair of the motorcycle/moped. Failure to immediately do this will result in termination of the training/course, and no refund will be made.
14. Students are required to bring both parts of their photo card driving licence, i.e. the photo card and matching paper counterpart. If you have an old style paper license then you must bring the single paper licence and a passport. Failure to comply will result in the termination of your training/course and no refunds will be made.
15. All payments must be made before the commencement of any training course. Cash, debit or credit cards are the only acceptable forms of payment. However, it must be noted that there is an additional charge on credit cards only.
16. London Bike Training can cancel your training at short notice due to poor weather or any unforeseen circumstances, or act of god, which are beyond our control. In the event of this happening we will reschedule the course/training but no refunds shall be made and we will not accept liability for out of pocket expenses incurred.
17. If you choose to use your own machine at London Bike Training, we are not responsible for if any damage incurs during the day, the full cost will be met by you.
18. There is onsite parking, but London Bike Training will not be responsible for any damage or theft to your vehicle if you choose to park it at the site.
19. There will be a non-discretionary charge when you are asked to come back for 1 or more of the following reasons.
A. You did not arrive with both parts of your Driving Licence.
B. You did not turn up on time for the course as specified in your confirmation correspondence.
C. You demonstrated a lack of understanding and knowledge of the Highway Code.
D. You arrived for your training with inappropriate clothing
E. You require more training.
20. London bike training run promotional and special offers throughout the year, we will not refund or pay the difference if you miss an offer. London bike training prices state we are £89 Monday to Friday. £99 Saturday and Sunday.
21. Please ensure that before you attend for the course you have a good and current knowledge of The Highway Code. If you have not read one, you will need to read and understand an up to date version. If your course is terminated by the instructor due to insufficient knowledge of the Highway Code, your course/training will be terminated and no refund given.
22. London Bike Training is responsible for your safety; the instructor in line with their training will have the authority to limit the size of the motorbike you will use for training and the practical test. Booking of a DAS/Intermediate course will not grant the student any right in choosing the size of bike, if the instructor believes the student will not be in complete control and therefore would be unsafe. Ultimately the instructor will have the final say to choose a safe sized bike for the student 124cc or otherwise.
